We are very sorry to announce that due to adverse weather conditions, we have had to cancel this year’s Animal Day at Castle Blatna.
The safety of our visitors, performers, and animal friends is our top priority, and after careful consideration we had to make this difficult decision.
All online ticket purchases will be refunded automatically using the same payment method used for the booking. Visitors who purchased tickets at the ticket office can receive their refund directly at the Castle Blatna ticket office.
We truly hope this wonderful event won’t be lost completely, and we will do our best to find an alternative date so we can enjoy the alpacas, dog dancing, falconry shows, rabbit hopping, and the rest of the programme together as it deserves.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
We hope to welcome you again soon at Castle Blatna.

Star attractions in the park
Canine Stars: Dogdancing & Agility
We are delighted to once again welcome world-class performer Alena Smolíková, a multiple Czech, European and World Champion. Her dogdancing performances - blending precision tricks with music - are among the very best in the world. This year, she will present three different routines: twice with her incredible Border Collie Foxy, and once with the talented Fiona.
For those who enjoy high-energy action, don’t miss agility demonstrations. This dynamic sport showcases speed, focus and teamwork on a challenging obstacle course. You’ll see everything from nimble Chihuahuas to skilled Havanese dogs, as well as top-level performances by Jana Nejdlová and her five-year-old Border Collie Puki (Czech Champion 2023). Jana’s achievements extend to prestigious international competitions, where she consistently secures podium finishes with her dogs Puki and Kessy. Expect breathtaking speed, precision and joy from this outstanding team.
Masters of the Sky: Falconry Show
This year we welcome the professional falconry group Vancos, led by falconer Jean van Coppenolle, who trained in Germany under the legendary Wolfgang Weller. Experience birds of prey up close and witness thrilling aerial displays. You can also meet falconer Zdeněk Burghauser, who will introduce his fascinating birds and share insights into their training.
Strength & Elegance of Horses
Horse lovers are in for a treat. Younger visitors can enjoy gentle horse rides with Monty and Daisy, while older audiences will be captivated by a traditional horse logging demonstration led by Jakub Beran. Witness the remarkable strength, calmness and partnership between horse and handler.
Rabbits in Action
Have you ever heard of rabbit jumping? Ivana Rollingerová will show you just how talented these small athletes can be. In the morning, you can pet the rabbits and learn about their care. In the afternoon, don’t miss the main show, where champion rabbits leap over obstacles with surprising agility.
Our Beloved Alpacas: The Alpaca Mini Farm
It wouldn’t be Castle Blatna without our alpacas - Bella, Esmeralda, Alba, Diego, Choco and Leo! Join the special programme “Alpaca Mini Farm for Young Farmers”, where children can experience life as a real alpaca keeper - feeding, cuddling and helping with their care. Please note: This activity requires a separate ticket and is not included in general admission. Capacity is limited, so online booking is strongly recommended.
Culture & Fun: Children’s Theatre
At 10:15, we begin the day with the award-winning fairy tale “Of Animals and Robbers”. This charming story of a goat, a cat and a rooster setting off on an adventure is perfect for children aged 4 to 10. The performance by Jana Vyšohlídová (based on a script by Vít Peřina) has been featured at prestigious festivals such as Letní Letná and Kefír.
Castle Quest: Animal Trail
Become a wildlife detective and set off on an exciting expedition through the park! Across 7 stations, you’ll tackle challenges that test your knowledge of nature. Can you identify animal tracks, recognise newborn animals, mimic an alpaca’s call, or guess a squirrel’s favourite treat?
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy the children’s play zone, the historic carousel, face painting, hair braiding and creative craft workshops.
Important notice:
On the day of the event, access to the entire castle park is only possible with a valid Animal Day ticket. The standard park admission (50 CZK) ticket will not be available. We strongly recommend purchasing tickets online for faster entry.
