Have you ever visited a school where failing to behave means being turned into a stone statue? A school where maths is replaced by lessons in clanking weapons, howling up chimneys and saying “Boo!” properly?
This autumn, Castle Blatna opens the doors to its secret Castle Academy of Frights. Join an evening Halloween tour for a glimpse behind the scenes of supernatural schooling, just as the ghosts, water sprites and woodland spirits are revising for their final exams.
With help from his friends, a muddle-headed woodland spirit named Vrzalín is trying to track down the stolen Book of Scares. Meanwhile, a sinister plot is taking shape in the castle corridors. Will the conspirators take over the school, or will the stern headmaster step in before it is too late?
Join us for an evening of humour, suspense, swordplay and dancing. The tours take place inside the castle and are suitable for brave visitors of all ages, including children aged 3 and over. Come in costume and become part of the Castle Academy of Frights

Places on each tour are limited, so we recommend booking early. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for a different time slot.Please arrive in plenty of time. Latecomers cannot join a tour once it has started, and tickets will be forfeited without a refund.Photography and filming are welcome during the tour.The castle park is open until 18:00 and can be visited before the programme begins. Oh My Deer Café will also be open during the event.

For the first time, the grounds of Castle Blatna will glow with thousands of LED lights. From 28 October 2026 to 31 January 2027, the Garden Full of Surprises light trail will lead you past illuminated decorations, offering a new evening view of the park surrounding the moated castle.
Join us at Castle Blatna on Tuesday 17 November, when the Czech Republic marks Freedom and Democracy Day and International Students’ Day, for a chance to explore beyond the usual visitor routes.
